Saudi Arabia
Simplifying Your Entry into the Kingdom
Establishing a foreign owned business in Saudi Arabia requires navigating a series of essential processes, including obtaining the Ministry of Investment (MISA) licence and completing various post-incorporation steps. Whether you’re a foreign investor or an international company, Rosemont Partners can guide you through every stage of company formation in Saudi Arabia, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
MISA Licensing: A Key Requirement for Foreign-Owned Companies
Formerly known as SAGIA, the Ministry of Investment (MISA) licence is mandatory for all foreign-owned companies wishing to register in Saudi Arabia. To secure this licence, foreign companies need to provide several documents, including a trade licence or certificate of registration, Memorandum/Articles of Association, Power of Attorney, and the last few years’ audited financials. These documents must be attested by the Saudi Arabian embassy in the country of origin before being accepted in Saudi Arabia.
The MISA licensing process typically takes 5-10 working days once the parent company’s documents are received in Saudi Arabia. Rosemont Partners offers a full service to handle this process, sparing clients the need to travel to Saudi Arabia.
Commercial Registration (CR) & Further Steps
Once the MISA licence is secured, companies must proceed with registering their business with the Ministry of Commerce (MoC), the official registrar in Saudi Arabia. This involves signing the company’s Memorandum & Articles of Association in front of a Saudi notary. The process for obtaining a Commercial Registration (CR) typically takes another 5-10 working days following the MISA licence issuance. Rosemont Partners can sign on behalf of the client, provided Power of Attorney is granted.
