Retirement Visa

In 2018, the UAE launched an initiative to allow foreign individuals to retire in the United Arab Emirates, giving them all of the benefits which the UAE has to offer. The minimum age to qualify for the UAE retirement visa is 55- Years old. The visa is valid for 5- Years and it can be renewed for an additional 5-Years, should the individual be able to maintain the below requirements.

Furthermore, the individual obtaining the Retirement visa, must be able to provide one of the following:

  • Ownership of a UAE Property which has a minimum value of AED 2 million;

  • Proof of savings – no less than AED 1 million; or 

  • An active income – no less than AED 20,000 per month – this amount can be from investments or pensions.
